This is a traditional Japanese Shunkei-nuri lacquerware lidded container, featuring a rich amber-brown finish accented with a delicate gold-leaf cherry blossom sakura pattern along the lid. Often used as a decorative bonbonnière or sweet box for a tea ceremony, it offers a wonderful touch of authentic Asian craftsmanship and elegance.
